iCandy apple travel system - has anyone bought or tried it?

I am thinking of buying this (with the maxi-cosi car seat) - has anyone got any views on it?
My main concern is that it is 11kg, I want something light weight and managable.

looks cute but don't think it would do rough terrain well. A bit more substanitial than a Zapp but heavier too.

My son is 7 months old and we have used the icandy apple since birth, however, it is hard to steer at the best of times and poor on rough terrain. However, the maxi cosi cabrio is well worth the money.

saw someone pushing one the other day in TKMaxx and it is absolutely colossal.

Quinny Buzz?

the Icandy cherry is the smaller lighter version, you might want ot check that out .

I've spent months looking for the right buggy. I was set on the Bugaboo (mainly due to the great colours) but had a test drive in Mothercare and it was hard to manoeuvre. I then set my sights on the Quinny buzz (again great colours) but it is tricky to get up and down. I recently spotted the icandy apple and loved it, moves nicely but is still tricky to get up and down and it is heavy.

I think you best bet would be to get a demo on 3 or 4 of your favourites. I've read good and bad review on all my faves so i think its very personal, just depends on how your going to use it.

the apple is very heavy and cumbersome, but it does have some advantages namely the pear seat (should you ever need it!)
