We have a lttle one on the way and also two others, one is 9 and other will be 22 months and we want to keep her rearward facing as long as possible so we need a car that is spacious in the back (sliding back back seats would be fab, do you only get these in people carriers?)

Want something with decent boot as we're going to need it, and economical, but nothing too new as dont want to break the bank. Do we really need to go to the larger people carriers yet or is there a smaller people carrier or estate that will fit our needs?

Any info and advice appreciated! xxx

We've been looking about, though we aren't ready to replace ours just yet. I've got DD 20 months rear facing and another due in the new year too.

I've been looking at the Skoda Yeti [it has the rear seats that move back and forth. But it's quite pricey even second hand, hoping the prices settle down at some point.

DH is quite taken with the Citroen Berlingo Multispace, it also has the moving rear seats with plenty of space. DH likes the upright position. But I don't like the duplo car look. He has the van version and loves it so much. Prices are much more reasonable though.

It's a pita but you may do well going out and looking at some cars at dealerships and trying DD's rf car seat in both positions. If you can arrange a baby sitter for the day, all the better. Buy a copy of What Car and take that with you for current prices, inspiration on good family cars.

I have got a Citroen Grand Picasso with two rear facing seats behind passenger and driver and there is loads of room in the front (and in the boot).
