Can you help a pair of car-buying novices? About to start the hunt for our next 5-seater car

Hi, we are just about to embark on a hunt for our next car, old one is getting to the end of its useful life.

After thinking we have decided to go for a newer 5 seater rather than a 7 seater. We could potentially afford a new car or a newish secondhand one.

Anyone got any recommendations on car options? We are thinking Ford Focus size.

I would recommend a Ford Focus, it's a great car and you'll have your pick of good deals whether buying new or secondhand. Although I saw the Ford Grand C-Max today (a five-seater that can seat seven) and it looks lovely.
