Is there a family car a bit like a campervan/day bus????

Just a the title suggests really!!

We have a campervan at the moment which we use for days out mainly. We love it because the ability to all sit inside comfotably and have a picnic etc. The front seats swivel and you can put a table in. We have to sell it so I was thinking about replacing my Astra for something that we could use everyday and also for day trips.

Now I don't expect an ordinary car/people carrier to be able to do this but I do want something spacious for the family (DH and two kids and me and possibly dog) I like something with a bit of height and if the seats could face each other that would be great.

Any ideas???

Mazda Bongo? That's what I'm getting, just as soon as I learn to drive and win the lottery.

You can get some conversions where the sink / hob / fridge unit lifts back out and can be replaced with a back row of seats for everyday use, I believe.

Thank you!! We don't actually want the kitchen and units really. All I really want is the ability to turn the front seats around and a little bit more head room, possibly room for a small table or something similar

Can any of the Berlingo/Kango/Caddy car versions of vans do this maybe?

The newer chrysler voyagers have seats that can face each other and a table inbetween.

We've got an ancient (well, N reg) Peugeot 806. Its got 7 seats, the front ones swivel, and the middle seat in the second row makes a table when folded down.
