Is it written somewhere?

If I look underneath will it say 'Made in Germany' there Grin

Have a look at the manufacturers website? What is it? Nissan factory in Sunderland, Skoda factory in Czech Republic. We used to have a Mini that said "handbuilt in Oxford, England" under the bonnet.

It had one previous owner and we bought from dealer

i don't even know what paperwork etc we have as it's DH's car but I had been reading about the handbrakes failing on them (eeek!) but it's that's the ones produced in UK and not Germany.

My little Smart roadster has a label on the sill of the driver's door saying 'Made in France.

My Subaru has a label at the very top right hand side of the windscreen saying 'Made in Japan'. My previous Toyota said 'Made in Japan' too, again at the top of the windscreen.

Look inside the door jams.
