how much car tax for: VW sharan/seat alhambra/ford galaxy/vw caddy maxi life?

if anyone owns one of these can you tell me how much your tax is for 12 months?

well for 6mths it was £134 for ours, but it depends on the age of the car and the size of the engine or petrol diesel, some of them fall into the higher tax band which i think is £400 for the year? there should be a site where you can put in the details, engine size, age etc and it will tell you what the tax band is, the dvla i think you can do it on?

we had a vw sharan btw and it was diesel and its age meant it wasnt in the expensive tax band!

Just paid £104 for 6 months on a 2002 diesel Galaxy. "Just" being 2 weeks ago.

And yet I'm sure 12 months was under £200 for our seat alhambra

you will pay less for 12mths tax if you buy it all in one go, if you opt to buy tax 6mthly you pay more, as the 6mth payment times 2 is more than a 12mth payment. yet another way those who cant afford big lump sums are penalised, rather than someone who has more money and can afford the 12mths all in one go!

pinkhebe if it's one of the new versions yes, it's about £130!
