Have trawled the shops today for one and they are all either the wrong size or not warm enough. I think I missed the boat as no one seems to be buying any more in. Is there a website where I can buy one - preferably not with ears - that is warm and will last the winter?

Ooops. Thanks Janh - should have read the other messages first too. Crawling off in embarrassment.....

Yes, dd1 has a cotton appliqued frock which has been taken for Monsoon, rather than £4 from Ethel's. I do actually like children's clothes a lot, I'm just a cheery cheapskate.

DS2 had a really cute navy and white striped jersey romper (loose, with baggy legs) from Ethel, when he was around 15 months, which cost £1.50 - subsequently saw the exact same one in a smart second-hand clothes shop for £4!!!!

That was 9 years ago, good to hear they're keeping their standards up.

M&S do a parker with a hood which has a separate fleece jacket inside. It's called 3 in 1. Very very warm and it doesn't matter if it's a bit big as I roll the sleeves up
