I bought DH a cheap LED one from ebay (I'm talking £2ish) and it's fab - he loves it. Takes 3AAA batteries so it's quite powerful.

and the light actually stays on , and you can actually see to rrread..it doesn't dim to nothing ??

I have had the pound shop ones and the fancy Wink Ebay ones that are £2. They last aaaaaaaaaaaaages.

I am an English lit student with a reading list of 18 texts this semester (including 2 Dickens) so I read a LOT. The cheap lights to which I refer last a long time.

these ones??

I have a lighted cover- I know it was £££ but it really is worth every penny. It's one of the Amazon ones which takes power directly from the Kindle so no problems with dimming or having to replace batteries. Smile

Poundland! They are smashing

Flisspaps · 27/02/2012 22:44

ggirl Yes - it's a bright, pure white light, and you can have one or two bulbs on at once. He has it on for ages, it's bright enough for him to be able to read his kindle but it doesn't keep me awake. Ideal.

It's one of these - you need to make sure that you get one that fits your particular Kindle though (apologies, this one cost the grand total of £3!)

I bought a case with integrated light, think it's this one. I've had it for ages, months I think, and haven't needed a new battery for it yet (don't use it every day mind you). The light is bright enough to read under the covers when DH is moaning that I'm stopping him getting to sleep.

I have these ones as well as the ones already mentioned. I have a few because the kids take a fancy to them and hide them.
