I think they are fab. Cheap second hand too.

Dh hates them with a passion but as I will be paying for it, that is tough

Oh, a dicksmack is a tosser. It's a Yank term. Another one is a 'blowhard'. As in, he's a real blowhard.

'DH would rather eat dog'

Yeah, as long as the dog was disguised in a proper Chinese takeaway, I'd rather eat it than be seen in a Multipla.

NomDePlume · 17/01/2006 10:16

I like the older ones with the vaguely gormless look. Massive, well equipped, reasonably well built (for a Fiat), cheap, with brilliant visibility (lots of glass).

nutcracker · 17/01/2006 10:16

How many do they seat ?

NomDePlume · 17/01/2006 10:17

7, I think

Tabs · 17/01/2006 10:20

Seat 6 - in 2 rows of 3. I used to have one. Bought it just before we got married in hope of shortly filling it with kids, but it's taken us 5 years to produce a baby, so have got rid of it now!!!!!

Was great fun though. We only went to look at it initially to poke fun at it, but once you get inside you sort of get hooked!

I wouldn't admit to one, they are sooo ugly. I wouldn't even drive one on holiday. The only good thing is they are so compact looking for a seven seater. i wish my car was that compact.

Is that 6 including the driver and the front passenger, tabs ?

Enid · 17/01/2006 10:22

I think they are cute

6 seater not 7 seater

ideal for us - three full car seats in back and extra front seat for spare friends - they will use the passenger seat too as dh will not be seen dead in it

expatinscotland · 17/01/2006 10:22

But the advantage is that it's so high off teh ground, you could duck if you saw someone you know in a normal car and there's a chance they wouldn't see you in that fugly ass Multipla.

Kelly1978 · 17/01/2006 10:22

whoops, I really think they are ugly

Enid · 17/01/2006 10:22

it has three full car seats in back that can all take boosters etc

then drivers and passengers with optional folding front seat
