Dd would like to take soup to school for lunch, so I'm looking for an unbreakable flask - not too huge. Anyone seen anything nice and also affordable? TIA

Look in the hiking shops. I got 2 last year from Blacks, under a tenner I think. They have their own carry case, and the top has a button so you can pour stuff out without unscrewing it - although not much use if the soup is chunky!

i saw some stainless steel (unbreakable) ones in woolworths just last week in the sale. they had 2 sizes, a big one a small one and im sure the small one would be perfect (if they still have some left!)

Any good? Both from Little Trekkers.
Thermos Stainless Steel Food Jar - it's reduced atm to £12.59.

or

Snak Jar - reduced to £3.59!

TinyGang- before you purchase are you sure they are allowed soup at school? Because of the supposed danger of pouring hot liquids I know several school around here where they are not allowed to take soup....

Yes, good point. I wondered that too. Checked this morning and the head teacher said she's happy provided the liquid is just gently warm, not scalding and that the container is unbreakable.

I did think they might say no actually, but it's quite a small school so I guess they feel as long as these things are in place it'll ok. Dd is 7 and quite sensible, so able to manage (I hope). Not sure I would have attempted this when she'd just started though tbh.
