Do you have a small digital camera that you'd recommend? (it's for an adult)

My dsister has adorable 2 year old twins but only ever takes pics on her iphone and then when we try to print them the quality is rubbish which seems a shame. So I'd like to get her a good quality digital camera for xmas (oh yes, I'm still shopping) but it needs to be small as she already has her hands full Xmas Smile and pretty robust as they are quite likely to get hold of it at some point. Anyone got one they can recommend?

Sony Cybershot all the way.

I got one of these last year and am really pleased with it, it is small, sturdy and takes pretty decent pics. Much better than my Iphone! The lens is fairly central and sticks out when you switch it on which is good for when DCs have a go themselves, my previous camera the lens stayed flat and was near the corner so the DCs were always putting their fingers over it when trying to take pictures.

Canon Ixus 210

For my compact camera, I have a Canon Ixus and it is great. Have had a couple and really can recommend them. Mine is a few years old now but it still takes great photos. Mine is pretty small and very rbust - it lives in my bag with no case and is still going strong.

Canon ixus.

I got my ixus because there is virtually no delay taking a shot like you get with some other cameras, and once you're focused on something it'll let you take loads just a split second apart. It's a great kids and pets camera
