DH stupidly drove through a flooded road on Sunday with the result that the engine cut out and we had to be towed home. The AA wouldn't even attempt to start the car since they said it could damage the engine and said that we should claim through the insurance. The insurance company are now being difficult even though we are fully comp. Is this normal? Just thinking about the bad flooding we've had in recent years, there must be lots of people who have had car damage due to driving through flood water?
