Didn't buy myself or get given a family calnedar thing. Normally have an unexciting one from Boots but they don't have any left. Has any body seen any in their travels?

lakeland have a very plain one with 5 columns for the family and a great pocket for storing tickets, invites etc. It is a really good idea

hunkermunker · 30/12/2005 17:14

Lakeland do a nice one with handy organiser pockets for birthday cards, etc for the month - M&S have some but they only have four columns which is no good for me as will have two children plus I always do an "events" column so I can write in birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

hunkermunker · 30/12/2005 17:15

LOL MB - you beat me that time

LIZS · 30/12/2005 17:16

Got one half price in Debenhams today !

HaveYourselfaMerryMrsBadger · 30/12/2005 17:24

dodopad

robinpud · 30/12/2005 17:24

I can see the lakeland one online but think having the month on 2 pages will fox my dh.. he is easily foxed when it comes to dates. Does the Debenhams one have 5 columns as I have 2 kids and use the 5th one for birthdays etc? Is it tasteful ?! I like the half price thing!

robinpud · 30/12/2005 17:27

THe dodpad is sold out but could get in john Lewis if I can face town again. I like putting dates on calendar, taking down decorations etc as soonas it is January if possible. Will have to wait until the 2nd as have vistors etc. It is all part of my delaying tactics for work. Can't tackle thought of work until homefront is organised.. sort of

Blandmum · 30/12/2005 17:28

Hunker, I couldn't get over what a brilliant idea it is! I am forever loosing invites and forgetting where the part is to be held!

The lakeland one, drops IYSWIM to give you a page a month

hunkermunker · 30/12/2005 17:29

MB, I love mine - have huge numbers of birthdays in January/February/March and know I'd have forgotten them because I'm going to have a newborn - but now I will be all organised and v impressive - all because of a calendar

LIZS · 30/12/2005 17:50

hmm tasteful , that rather depends lol ! There wasn't that much choice and just grabbed what seemed suitable. It is actually a Clintons one , now I look closely, with black and white drawn teddies on (Me to You ?)liek on cards . 5 columns across although the first is narrower than the others with bank holidays etc, plus stickers, pen, post-it pad, pocket for ? All for under a fiver . There may well have been others if that doesn't , er, grab you !.

Most shopping centres have stalls / shops selling calendars at this time of year. The one in Redhill had a variety of family planners earlier in the week, I got one with five columns, stickers and a pocket for £5 reduced from £10. There were about 5 different ones some even cheaper.

notasheep · 30/12/2005 20:11

WHSmith for me too

I bought a Mr Men one in M&S - £8 (probably reduced now if they still have them). It only has spaces for 4 people though so no good for a bigger family. It's mounted on a board with a wipe clean memo pad on it too.

amylou · 30/12/2005 20:36

the lakeland one is in the sale and if i remember rightly is over half price at 2.95 or something silly rather than 8.95..
just got one!

NannyL · 01/01/2006 13:11

LOADS to choose from as well
