i love wooden and vintage toys - prefer the look and feel of wood plus we have just the living room to keep them in. I'm getting really frustrated with dh as he hasn't told his parents so birthdays and xmas we get loads of plastic and electronic toys. he doesn't want to hurt their feelings. I sound really ungrateful but hoping I'm not alone.......?

Too many commas?

We have a wooden block shape sorter, and a wooden trike with trailer, and a huge wooden square with wire twisted round it and wooden balls to put through them... I like wooden stuff.. however, they weren't bought because they were wood.. but 'cos they were cheaper

I'm a bit of a wooden toy snob, he does have quite a lot of it and people know I like it
But he also has a lot of plasticy stuff, he especially loves the FP little people stuff

But Santa brought him a wooden train set and several wooden thomas trains, so thats all he has played with since Christmas day!

I don't dislike plastic toys per se, its the really rigid thin plastic ones that I don't like

I prefer wooden, dd prefers pink plastic. And as it's dd who has to play with them, what she thinks matters more than what I think - I'd rather have lots of plastic stuff that she played with than lots of wooden stuff that she won't touch.
