Shortie bunk bed mattress protector 170x75x15cm, where to purchase?!

I have scoured the net but to no avail..I really need a WATERPROOF mattress protector for the kids shorty bunk beds ( specifically for the shorty wooden ones from Argos) as my daughter will move into it next week hopefully.. (will be toilet trained next week too), although my 5yr old is high and dry, I'm not taking any chances! I've been looking at smaller sized sheets (terry towelling on one side, waterproof on reverse) on google but keep being directed over to the bay, but they all seem to be 190cm long and about 25-mostly 30cm depth. I think these'll just be really baggy..

Any ideas, help, suggestions are much appreciated :) where can i get good 'shorty' waterproof sheets from at a reasonable price? like £15each or sommat

\link{http://babymattressesonline.co.uk/products/sheets/replacement-spare-mattress-cover-any-product.html\babymattressesonline} looks as if it might have the right size for you although the drop-down size box doesn't work?

\link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hippychick-Mattress-Protector-Flat-Sheet/dp/B000F474X2/ref=pd_cp_k_h_b_cs_2\or there's this flat one} - 150x100 so shorter & wider but would cover most of the top surface?

We've got these on the DCs beds - they've coped with pretty much everything. They would be big enough to cover the most vulnerable areas of the bed.

ponders thanks for the links- funnily enough I came across the baby mattress site but didn't see this page [hblush] although the maximum depth is 10cm - so it'd be a squeeeeze as the kids mattress is 15cm (or 17cm according to its website..) -still- have requested a call back from them anyhoo

The flat mat thingie- both kids are SUCH ruffians when it comes to bedtime- the sheets are a terrible mess as the kick about so much and are very physically active whilst visiting the land of the nod- the flat mat would be gathered at the bottom of the bed :(

piprabbit flat sheets- aren't they a fuss to keep in place too?

great suggestions, please keep them coming!

Ours have never moved at all My 7yo has had hers for 6 years (sometimes still forgets to wake up in time), the 3yo has had his for 2 years.

Oh, and I used them while I was very pregnant and not wanting to leak waters on my mattress - very comfy actually.

Once in a blue moon, DD has got herself into such an odd position that she has gone over the edge of the mat a little - but I bung on some bicarb and we're good to go by the next night.

sammysamsam · 19/10/2011 11:26

ooh- i didn't know abt the bicarb (thanks for the tip!)

Still fancy an all over elasticated one tbh.. thought someone would know of where to get hold of them from. the babymattressonline is more of a full on cover rather than sheet- so it'd be hard trying to get that off if there was an accident..it'd be a workout and a half in itself!

so any ides?

This thread came up high in Google as I'm looking for a second mattress protector for our shorty mattress. Our existing one is from a company called Linens Limited via Amazon and, as far as I can see from the order, was actually for a 76 x 190cm mattress but it works fine on a 75 x 175 mattress. Looks like I'll be going for another one or two.
