cocked up using my 15.00 tesco discount on my big christmas shop

really cross as I would have done it differently if I'd know

the code is to be added when you check out
and is 15.00 off 100.00 spend (XX-VM3W)

I had already booked a slot for delivery on Wednesday ready for christmas by pre ordering a fresh turkey

so i logged on today to add the rest og my order and spent ages on it

came to checkout and add my discount now i've spent over 100.00 and it doesn't take you to the original checkout page..so no opportunity to add my code

I've emailed customer services but no response so far and I'm really cross as I was banking on using the discount

Has anybody else found a way of adding the discount when yoiu make a change to the order?

is there a phone number you can ring? I use sainsburys and often have to phone them to get the voucher used on the order i've done cause they never work either..
or cancel the order and start again?

No, don't cancel the order - you'll be hard pushed to get another slot before Christmas now.

Ring customer services rather than emailing them, you can sometimes wait a week for them to respond to an email.

Phone them, I've never hasd any luck e-mailing them. It might not let you put in the discount code because you already have. Check it it may have already taken your discount off. Good luck. Merry Christmas.

wow thats spooky I have done the exact same thing!

Did a quick order to get a Wednesday slot then added to it yesterday but it wouldn't let me use my £15 discount either, mine is the exact same code as yours too.

I have e-mailed them today but if no joy will phone on Monday.

Me too - I rang them and they said you can't do the discount after the initial checkout. So, in future I said I would add 40 bottles of champagne to my order to make sure I could use the discount. Pah!

It should I know with Sainsburys you can add discount codes afterwards.

So whats to stop you doing as no pearls says and adding loads then cancelling it to get the discount.

I've just spoken to them and apparently you can put the discount code on your order even if you haven't spent enough (I pointed out that it doesn't have this information any where on the website)but you can't add it afterwards

however she also promised that they would make me a festive offer which is I telephone after the groceries are delivered and it will be taken off then? so fingers crossed

of course she checked into cancelling it and starting again but there are no slots left
and i would lose my turkey then too!
in future i shall just bung a load of discount codes on at the start!

I will remember that when I phone on Monday can't be bothered today.
