Silliest or most pointless baby product

Hi I am pregnant and whilst trawling through the numerous products you definatly NEED for baby, I came across a baby helmet to prevent bumps.

Well ok it isnt pointless but I couldnt stop laughing. Surely adult supervision will suffice, I cant help but think what on earth next?

A bubble wrap suit???

Ha ha loving the baby keeper, I am so gonna get one. Do they do them for 6 year olds lol or is that a straight jacket?

Not a baby product as such, but the stupidest thing I've seen is a specially designed "birthing wrap" so that you can "feel comfortable and feminine on your special day". Looks just like a regular wraparound dress to me. I refused to wear anything at all while I was in labour, never mind remembering to dress up for the occasion.

comfortable and feminine during labour..... Yeah right.

maybe it's a magic dress...

Have to disagree with you mousy mouse on the tummy tub...it's been a godsend for my twins. I've used this from birth and the girls relaxed so much they would take a break from screaming to nod off! Now they are 3 1/2 months old they can hold their heads up and I have 2 hands free to wash them-before I did support them under the chin with 1 hand. one of my girls screams with tummy discomfort and turns her tub into a jacuzzi :) it's all good!

Sack'n Seat.

buterflies · 12/08/2011 22:01

What is the sack and seat?

MummyAbroad · 13/08/2011 21:52

came on to whinge about the bottle warmer for the car but see its already been done! What a spectacularly useless waste of money and plastic.

I also wasted money on a seat-style bath support (like this for a baby that is able to sit up on its own - soon realised that by that age they dont need a bath seat!

this one for newborns was great though

Paschaelina · 13/08/2011 22:14

I love my nappy wrapper. Smile

My vote has to be snowsuits/pramsuits. Such a bastard to get on and they have to come off in the carseat. Complete waste of time taking the bloody thing on, off, on, off. The one we weregiven was worn once. Never again, layers all the way!

buterflies · 13/08/2011 22:56

Oh I have to disagree wi snow suit, had a particularly bad winter and my lil one was kept toasty in his snow suit in his pram, I agree no good if you travelling by car but then you wouldnt need a snow suit in a car anyway.

MummyAbroad · 13/08/2011 23:38

Found the sack'n'seat. Looks a bit flimsy

moaningminniewhingesagain · 13/08/2011 23:44

We had something like the sack'n'seat and used it lots, mostly in pubs really.

Most useless thing I bought was the phil and teds second time round, used a few times but took up all the room in the car boot and soon swapped for a maclaren with buggyboard.

buterflies · 14/08/2011 12:50

I am not a fan of Phil and Teds as the infant seat looks like a shopping trolley or after thought.

Like oh do you like my pram with my toddler, I somehow missed the fact I was having another baby so decided to stick it in the shopping basket.

buterflies · 14/08/2011 12:51

basket not trolley
