So this is all dd2 (she nearly 3) keeps asking santa for,
a fish tank toy.
shes mad about nemo and wants -in an ideal world!- a fish tank thats a toy, that she can take fish (nemo etc) in and out of.
and you know I'd buy her it too, if they made one!!!!! anybody know of any 'fish tank' toy out there? I'm coming up with nothing on google.......

ooh ooh, letterbox! they do a little fish tank toy which i think is fully enclosed but has little plastic fish 'swimming' around in it. they also do a magnetic fishing toy which looks really good. i shall link, hold fire.

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 09:47

mini aquarium

hold fire for the fishing thing...

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 09:48

oops. the fishing thing is on the same link. so the mini aquarium is the first one of the three and the fishing thing is the last.

both are just little cheapy toys so it might just be a little stocking stuffer idea.

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 09:49

oh bugger that didn't work did it!?

ok, click on link and do product search on fish and you'll get it.

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 09:51

Argos did have one last yera
not sure you can take fish out though

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 09:57

not quite it but might be ok

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 09:58

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:05

cant see your though!!
rubbish linker! ;)

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:06

yes yours is better!

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:06

although lets see whatDq thinks

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 10:09

where is dq!?

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:13

dont know!
anyway how are you and yours today?

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 10:15

hmmm.. i don't want to hijack dq's fishtank thread but yes, they are ok. got turned down for voluntary redundancy yesterday so i'm a little miffed right now but other than that, all is good.

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:22

sorry about hi jack!!
But just wanted to ask!!
Where can I ask you about your V.R etc?!!I like to just chat sometimes!

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 10:27

sorry. well we might as well take over dq's thread because she's obviously legged it and we've recommended some damn good toys

i put in for voluntary redundancy knowing full well i probably wouldn't get it but there was always that hope in the back of my mind. and i didn't get it .

i would have got a couple grand (it was a crap package but something is better than nothing) and 3 months off paid! i could have dossed around the house for 3 months scratching myself and watching telly and then just got a job after that because the marketplace is pretty buoyant for my profession (and that's exactly why i haven't been made redundant) so ho hum.

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:31

oh, well. What a shame. Does your DW work?

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 10:34

nope. she's a SAHM.

my job is a dime a dozen. i can get something about the same within a week or two.

saying that, if i stick about they've promised me the financial controller job in spring next year. i'm kind of deputising now but i don't have the title or extra perks that go hand in hand in the proper controllers role.

sorry, i'm being a bore (snore)

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 10:36

oh come on dq! i was all proud when i linked you that info!

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:36

Not a bore! We chat alot but dont know much about each other. Its nice to get to know you! Does that sound wrong?!!
It would have been nice for your wife to have you home too.
I love it when my DH is at home

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:38

I hate it when you find something for someone and they dont respond!

DaddyCool · 16/11/2005 10:44

shall we make her dead to us?

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 10:48

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 11:06

GREATauntymandy · 16/11/2005 12:12

if you go to DC'S link then put fish in search box it comes up. Really quite nice but tell hm you liked mine best!!!!

What about buying a small fish tank and making one with her?
Paper or toy fish on strings and blue tack to lid.
she can change it as she likes adding 'plants' etc
