Current one is finally dying, and I'm aiming to work out now what to replace it with so I can (hopefully) get it in the sales in January.

No special requirements, looking for 6' size or thereabouts, no fancy ice-making compartments needed. But doors must be reversible, because of our odd kitchen layout.

would you be able to fit an American-style one in? Our's is cavernous and easily holds a week's worth of food for 5 people.

Oooh - this is one of the things SofiaAmes was so good at. She'd be able to tell you the best kind to get, and the cheapest place to buy it. She seems to have completely disappeared since moving to California - has anyone heard from her?

I have a lovely AEG larder fridge - just a fridge, though. Our freezer is separate. It works very well, not least because we don't use the freezer much.

no product recommendations, but try the comet auctions site for ex-display or returned (unused) goods...
