A decent girls' cardigan?

I've managed to save myself a fortune by going to the high street rather than Boden for dd's winter wardrobe, but where can I get a decent cardi or two?

What I DON'T want is a 100%acrylic "chunky" "mock-hand-knit" horror, which seems to be what's in just now. Would like a traditional cardi, wool or cotton (preferably machine wash), nice colour, not pastel pink, don't mind a bit of decoration, as long as it's not feathers or glitter. Was shocked at the range in M+S- all pale pink lace-effect bolero type things. Yuck!

have a rummage through TKMaxx. I found 100% cotton arran-style cardigan in raspberry pink and navy for £7.

Yep, I'll second TK Maxx, I got dd a gorgeous cardigan there. It may also be worth popping in baby Gap, they always seem to have some things on sale, and I got dd a lovely cardigan which has lasted forever and washes unbelievably well. Gosh, what a mumsy thing to say!

Lovely machine wash wool & silk - gorgeous feeling - cardis (navy & other sober colours, which is what I like) in Petit Bateau. Was on sale (third off) when I got one.

Recommend going to their factory outlet in Bicester if you're anywhere near.

Sorry, it's cotton & silk. Anyway did I say it is the most lovely thing? And goes with everything.
