Which lullaby dream show thingy is best?

Am thinking of getting one of these for dd2. Argos has 3 types - Winne the Pooh, Starlight one which plays 3 tunes, or a spherical type one which has one tune but starts up again automatically if baby cries. They are here .

Anyone got any of these and if so would you recommend?

TIA

We have an older version of the Fisher Price Aquarium and we never use the light display on it as it's far too stimulating/interesting/distracting when we want baby to sleep.

We do use it every night, sometimes several times each night though as it has a really gentle waves-crashing-on-the-shore sound that lasts about 10 mins and is usually the thing that gets dd to sleep (ans worked with ds when he was a baby too).

What I mean is that we use it for the sound and we switch off the display . (Wasn't sure that what I wrote first made sense).

Winnie the Pooh, but it is hard on batteries & you've no choice to switch lights off it's all or nothing. DD loves it though & has done since about weeks old. Still use it every night & she's just turned 4.

DS has this one, which he loves. Get rechargeable batteries whatever you decide, definitely!

To be honest, I'm tempted to say save your money! We had the aquarium one and then a different one and the mechanism in both was just so loud, it was very distracting and there was no way it was relaxing for my dd! I'd maybe go for one that doesn't do anything fancy. When I was pregnant and having a tough time sleeping a friend bought me a lovely gift from Boots, which was a kind of crystal ball thingy that gently lit up and played soft nature sounds. I found it really great to go to sleep to, as did my dd in the early days.

Check out toys r us ones - they have more variety. We have vtech bear one and gloworm one for DS which was only 10.00

Thanks everyone - still undecided though! DD is finding it harder to drop off during the day now as she keeps craning her head around to look all round her room. I thought that if got one of the ones that projected on to the ceiling it might mesmerise her enough for her to fall asleep!

Bought the Tomy Starlight one in the end and much to my surprise it is having the desired effect! Put dd in her cot for a nap this morning, she wouldn't settle, so I turned the dreamshow on and she was asleep in a couple of minutes. Result!
