Picasso is a name that Citroen use for some of their cars.

e.g. C4 Picasso, C3 Picasso

Xsara Picasso is a model of car they made.

I've been looking. The xsara picasso and C4 picasso are the cars that confused me.

The xsara is cheaper...

What are they both like? Not looking for massive cars, but need to be able to carry 2 car seats and 2 adult passengers.

Thanks

The C4 is the newer version - hence the difference in price! The xsara is no longer made.

I have the xsara picasso - size wise it's a great family car, and lovely to drive - doesn't feel too big iyswim. However the running costs are quite high so I imagine that being newer the C4 is more economical, but apart from that, I don't think there's that much difference.

We have a Xsara Picasso and it's been good (we've had ours about 5 years). Nice high driving position, massive boot, and you can fit 3 car seats across the back (as you can in the C4, which our neighbour has). As Loulou says, running costs are quite high.

And the gearbox on mine has just gone kaput so it's sitting up the road waiting to be towed away...

The C4 is much bigger than the Xsara Picasso. The new Xsara Picasso is called the C3 Picasso (we just spent weeks researching new cars!)

We had a Xsara Picasso and although fit was great to drive, the children got exceedingly sick in the back!
