Moving house=lots more walking....shall I get a new buggy?

First of all, I know that lots of you will say yes even if it's not a good idea, and I know I really want a new one (well ebay so not brand new).

We're moving soon (hopefully very soon) and we'll be doing alot more walking. School run is just over a mile each way so that makes it to almost 5miles per day without any trips out.
We're moving close to the seaside ( yipppeee) and very close to the South Downs so without a doubt we'll be out walking and exploring alot.

ATM I've got a mothercare jive buggy that stays in the car and a maclaren quest and I just don't think either (especially the jive) will stand the pace. I've never been impressed with the maclaren and now the 2 things that I really loathe about it will become even more annoying. The raincover doesn't completely cover and the shopping basket is worse than useless.

Ds3 is 2 (today) so he will need one for a while yet. He's very weeny so making him walk isn't an option.

Typing this out has almost convinced me to get a new one but I really want to know what everyone else would do.

Honest and proper answers please because I need them to convince DH to buy one or convince me not to spend his cash!
