Those extractor/hood things. Do they need to be connected to the mains (ie need an electrician to fit them)? Or, do they come with a plug?

sorry Tinker, didn't mean to change the mood - but when it happened, it did make me realise how much diy we all do ourselves these days and electricity is probably one area we should leave to the specialists.

here's a place to find an electrician

click on the 'are you a householder' and then on 'search for electrical contractor' in the grey highlighted bit. I found our spark his way and he's been brilliant.

mine has a plug and it doesnt look naf, you cant see it down the side of the cupboard anyway.
