What age do children grow out of Ben 10 toys and DVDs?

Just that really, DS has been into Ben 10 for a few months, mainly because his friends were, but now he is totally obsessed with it! He's 4.6 and I was just wondering how much Ben 10 stuff I should or shouldn't buy in case he grows out of it. How long will he play with it for?

(bitter about Thomas being outgrown!!)

ds1 LOVED it in reception and yr1

now in y3 aged 7yrs he says he hates it, but i think that is more to do with the fact that his 3 year old brother has discovered it.!
