Dd1 will be 8 in November and I already know what i'm getting as her main birthday and xmas pressies but am stuck on what else to get.

She more or less knows what her main pressies are so want to get something that she doesn't know about.

No more than £30 as her main pressies are enough as it is.

Any ideas ??

Posh stationary to show off at school

Nice hair grips and slides and things

A really nice pair of gloves and matching hat - I got one of these when I was 7/8 and loved it.

A diary

A clothes accessorizing kit - fabric paint, ribbons etc

Jewellery kit - put posh, not plasticky

Those are all great ideas, thanks

Keep them coming, can never have enough pressie ideas.

Does she like music.. how about a CD player or walkman CD thingy, or CD's

or a bratz doll.. (my 9 year old loves these)

Digital watch...

Have you got an Argos book you could leave lying about and see what she likes?

HTH

If i leave the argos book lying around she will pick everything rummum LOL.

Bratz dolls, she had one last year but didn't play with it.

Cd player she has.

The only thing she has mentioned is a plam thingy organiser like the girl in Cat in the hat, but not sure she'd use that much.

Hama Beads

Polgara2 · 28/08/2005 22:59

I second Hama beads, my 8 yr old loves them. Or jewellery making kit, card making kit, painting set of some sort. How about a camera, my dd got one for her birthday and is clicking away like mad (not an expensive one I hasten to add!). Pottery making set? Baking? Depends what she's into.

nutcracker · 29/08/2005 14:59

What exactly are Hama beads ??

hama beads come with a peg board you creat a design on the peg board them iron it carefully (follow the instructions carefully) you then remove it from the board. See Argos.co.uk enter hama beads on the search box and see

What are her main pressies ? my dd (nearly 8) is completely bonkers on Bratz, she also likes her music. My mum bought her a hair dryer for Xmas last year and that went down well, even though I buy her pressies for her birthday, all the family give her the money so she can go and buy herself some new clothes.

Every year, she gets her money and we go out for the day, just me and her and have lunch. Would your dd appreciate some shopping vouchers to choose what she want herself ?
