dillydally · 23/08/2005 13:02

I am crap at crafting, sewing, stitiching etc but want a cloth nappy for my DDs all crying all weeing doll. I can buy the doll disposables but obviously I want to set a good example and get baby doll a cloth nappy to save the environment. Can these be purchased or does any Mumsnetter have a sneaky sideline in manufacturing such a garment. (top dollar paid - well anything up to a tenner really)

Why can't I remember useful stuff??

bishopstone trading company does dolls clothes including cloth nappies. my sister made a set for our dolls and teddies, in 3 sizes, it's actually really easy (I say by proxy, having watched her ). find an old terry nappy or towel. cut out a T or Y shape (size it to the doll or teddy (or moose, or Postman Pat toy). add bit of velcro to the edges. you can make lots out of one old towel or bit of fleece.

I have made doll's nappies and matching bibs and hats as presents for little girls I know, and one or two to sell, I have material in several patterns and colours, would be fun to make some more, CAT me if you're interested.

dd2 was a recipient of bensmum's dolls nappies, hat and sling that she made - dd2 loves them, they are well made and durable and worth paying for IMO.
