I've seen some great ones but they all seem to be single covers, I don't want a themed one but i do want one to appeal to a young girl. Can anyone help?

not really cos not many 4 year olds have double beds!!
Your best bet is to probably get a plain cover and jazz it up with some cushions.

Have a look at la redoute - they have some beautiful things and 100% cotton I think.

Oh, I was just about to recommend La Redoute. very pretty pastel gingham bedlinen - maybe the lilac would be nice?

Lilac gingham is the right idea, but that is what i am trying to match to because that is the pattern on the walls from an old mamas and papas nursery set (plus a mouse, a cockeril, and a dog I think!!!) Whole room gets decorated next year when extention finished (in my dreams anyway!) Finally, she doesn't have a double bed just a double quilt because the bed has a pullout underneath for when visitors stay and then she moves into her brothers room for the night!!!!!

Can anyone find the pastel gingham? I like the la redoute site but am failing miserably with the search facility!

I see LoL.

What about a nice throw over the top of the duvet?

moondog · 23/08/2005 08:23

Peacock Blue do some very nice bedlinen which isn't too expensive. My 4 year old dd has a queen sized wrought iron bed. I've decided it can be her heirloom and she can take it with her when she leaves home. In the meaqntime,it's useful for guests (what adult wants to sleep in a single bed eh?)

Igo for plain whilte bedlinen for all of us with throws and blankets.
