Does this sound like vaginal dryness or delayed ejaculation during sex?

I had sex with a new partner a few days ago. I am 43 and he is 60. It was good, but it went on for ages - well over 2 hours of PIV sex, plus he was very well endowed in comparison to what I have previously experienced.

At the end (getting on for 2.5 hours in) he said I had lost lubrication and that it was a turn off and he didn’t want to continue, he finished himself off with his hand. I wasn’t in pain but the day after I had a few tiny grazes on my vulva which I couldn’t really feel apart from when I was washing and then they were really stingy.

What’s happened here? It’s been almost 10 years since I have had sex and I am on HRT, do I have an issue with vaginal dryness which needs addressing? When masturbating it seems like I lubricate as well as I did in my 20s, although I have obviously not tested it with partnered sex for many years. Or does he have some sort of issue with delayed ejaculation? TBH this has dented my confidence quite a bit.

Dump unkind Mr Jack Hammer big dick

Find you will find nicer guy, buy some good quality lube for next time regardless of how lubricated you feel you are and enjoy!

It sounds as if his only ability is to make a woman sore.

2.5 hours PIV. Axle grease wouldn't have saved your vag. I'd have a serious review of this one OP

Bromdad · 08/08/2026 12:27

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you if you were able to continue PIV for 2.5 hours. The internet suggests that 5 to 7 minutes is more typical for actual PIV. I cannot quite believe he said that you 'had lost lubrication and it was a turn off', talk about a lack of awareness! Try not to let this knock your confidence, he is the only one with an issue.

Error4O4 · 08/08/2026 14:43

He simply shifted the blame on you because he couldn't finish for whatever reason.

ruffler45 · 08/08/2026 16:26

2.5 hrs PIV at the age of 60, quick ring Guinness Records 😂

AltitudeCheck · 08/08/2026 18:47

2 hours of PIV 😩 I'd be bored out of my mind (not to mention in agony!). His comment would be the final nail in the coffin. I'd tell him you lost lubrication about the same time you lost interest! If he can't finish in that time he was never going to finish and he's just shifting the blame.

Thanks everyone who has replied. It’s good to know my vagina is not defective! I don’t think he was trying to hurt my feelings but it was a stupid thing to say.

2 hours+ was way too long for me. I have never known anything like that before! It was annoying as well as we had to cancel our plans to go out afterwards as there was no time, I had to get home.

I don’t like the idea of being with someone who has to use their hand to finish, that’s a turn off for me actually. Don’t think this one is for me.

‘Pleased it made you laugh because 2.5 hours won’t make you do anything else positive.

100% related to his age and reduced penis sensitivity.

if you're male and over 55 you're most probably already aware

Yeah - I’m 56 and have the same issue- sometimes I just never really get there and have to stop ( it doesn’t help that my GF gets extremely wet ) and she actually gets a bit upset about it

Well yeah, this.

It's fine to carry on for a long time (hope you got some oral too, hope you got some orgasms) but does he think you're an infinite fountain? God gave us lube for a reason. Yes he's shifting the blame.

But honestly, if anyone said to me that any part of me or my body was a turn off, I would never see him again. What an arse.
You're gorgeous and he was lucky to get to fuck you 😁

yorkshireteabagman · 12/08/2026 09:04

that must have been boring for both of you after that length of time surely??! He sounds self-endulged with his comments and I probably wouldn't stick around unless you want a few years of the same....

Lugol · 14/08/2026 19:22

He sounds dreadful OP. And blaming you because he couldn't come?

Tell him to fuck off.

HedgehogTiggyWinkle · 20/08/2026 00:39

Older gentlemen are typically slower in everything they do.

He should be used to it by now.

IMO he should stop when you've had enough.

And save his energy for next time.

Older gentleman here.

Still anecdotal. Facts is what we should deal with.

HedgehogTiggyWinkle · 21/08/2026 23:37

It would be a quiet forum if nobody mentioned their personal experience.

My point is that stating "older men" have issues. Just isn't true. But your post just throws a glib comment and people reading it believe it to be true. I'm sure there is a percentage that do suffer from ED and non sensitivity but not all There are plenty of older men enjoying healthy sex lives.
When I asked for evidence I was expecting a medical survey from a reputable source giving facts and percentages, In other words not anecdotal.
