I recently started seeing soneone new. We have been intimate a couple of times, but there seems to be some sensitivity at the end of his penis. It all looks ok, and we had full clear STi checks anyway.but it seems to be very sensitive to my usual manoeuvres. Any tips gratefully received.

Addendum: erection quality is good, he doesn't seem to have problems getting aroused

Try a lidocaine gel reduces sensitivity.

Does he find solo sex difficult or just partnered? Has he had this with other partners (are you being a bit too enthusiastic perhaps?)

If it's always been an issue then worth a chat with GP to determine the cause. Can he elaborate if it is a stinging / burning pain or pressure / bruised kind of pain or tearing/ friction type pain?

It seems it is a problem that has persisted for a long.time. Medical help was sought a long time ago but didnt apparently help. I'm super careful.now especially round the tip so don't think its down to my being over energetic

He had some cream from a GP for the discomfort. I don't know what it is like.for.him masturbating. And he isn't circ'd.

Sounds like it could be phimosis maybe, tight foreskin, my ex had minor surgery to rectify it with no issues

As long as the tip is not red or discoloured- he might just have a sensitive penis 🤷🏼‍♂️ as mentioned above they some EMLA cream- this will reduce the sensitivity

You should be able to retract the foreskin without discomfort.

I’d get it checked for an infection. Could be Staphylococcal/Strep or yeast.
