Roleplay costumes/ideas

DH and I are going away for a weekend break soon and I had suggested that I could get a costume or outfit as a bit of a novelty. I said I would get it, so that it would be more of a surprise for him. I’m turned on by the idea (as is he) and have been thinking what to get and can’t decide tbh. Any recommendations as to where to get decent costumes firstly? Was browsing online a bit and didn’t see anything that caught my imagination. Also, if you have found any particular costumes worked best for you for sustainable ongoing roleplay, would love to hear (not details of your roleplay! Just the costume that worked would be great). Thanks!

In my experience you'd have to decide whether you're going for the 'Carry On' film style of role play or something more accurate and work from there.

Office has worked well for us, but I guess that's our frame of reference and allows the conversation to flow!

@ThisZippyTurtle Haha - a Medical roleplay would kill the mood for me stone dead!
I think something more accurate and intense than carry on style would be better for us.

I sort of understand the 'meh' for the conventional outfits. I can see that you're looking for depth and longer term. Have you thought about something historical?

DH is a big Hannah Waddingham fan (so am I, she's gorgeous)

I did something like this, granted what was underneath was probably very different, but it had a good result for us both!

Was it the duffel coat/nun's habit combo you went for in the link? Agree it would be difficult to find something Hannah wouldn't shine in!

It started off with that as a cover for some more traditional but saucy underwear!

As an aside, I’ve met Hannah Waddingham in real life, and she is even more stunning and very nice.

For me I like to dress up in stereotypical French maid costume- frilly black knickers, tiny apron with a half cup push-up frilly black bra, just small enough to let my nipples peep out! Can be accessorised with a feather duster and nipple clamps or crotchless knickers xx

I prefer my DW to wear it outside the bedroom. So classic clothes, basque, stockings, heels, remote controlled toy inserted. Then we go to the bar for a drink.

It was a we-vibe from Love Honey. Costs around £80 - £90. The best part is, it uses a phone app to remote control. Rechargeable, lasts a couple of hours easily.

Victorian style nightdress and pretend I'm a virgin - fabulous!!

If you’re in a hotel then you could lean into the hotel theme. French maid is the obvious but as you’ve already looked at costumes you could go for a more authentic uniform thinking pink gingham tabard, rubber gloves and duster. (See Graham Norton for Robbie Williams story)

We did do a fancy dress party and a number of my friends commented on my wife’s costume which was the classic yellow coat costume with tennis skirt 🔥
