As someone who has opted for all off since my later teens, it’s not done as a turn on, or turn off. It’s the way l choose. I find it more comfortable, particularly in the hot weather (less sweaty) and yes, l think it looks nicer. If someone finds that a turn off to the extent it’s a problem, they can do the other thing.

That works for you.

We are all allowed our personal preferences. Mine is smooth down there for myself and my partner.

Here here.
Eyebrows. Arms. Legs. Armpits. Beards. Chests. Bums. Pubes. It's a choice we all make.

Except for being smooth for a few teenage years I have always had pubes. Varied in area and length from small triangle to almost curly bush, cut of swimsuit is the prime regulator. Do not like dark strands showing.

That is the original reason l first removed mine back in my teens. Never looked (or grown 😀) them back. It also makes life easier with heavy periods.

brunettemic · 02/01/2026 18:36

I prefer myself smooth and have done since I was about 18. I don’t think about it as something for anybody other than me though really.

Jugganorks · 03/01/2026 00:49

Smooth in summer, full on topiary bush in winter. Spring and autumn vary depending on mood and post summer grow out. Pubes are so soft after years of removal. Feeling different adds some variety.

ExpertInAbsolutelyZero · 03/01/2026 16:03

Maybe for fans of the bush, but not for me. Smooth for good here.

Shellewriter · 03/01/2026 21:48

Always been full bush here, absolutely cannot be arsed with removal. Men free to take it or leave it!

Shakeyitoff · 04/01/2026 01:16

Full bush here with trimming or bikini line removal on occasion. I’m sensitive to shaving and would be itching and people thinking I’ve got crabs if I shaved. Waxing makes me bleed and sore. I only shave my face these days can’t quite bring myself to sport an old woman beard but I don’t care about anything else and neither does DH. Just can’t be arsed with the maintenance. I have never taken the whole lot off. I’m a woman it comes with the territory.

When married I was full bush (but trimmed) as I suffered with rashes when trying hair removal and freaked out about waxing.
Post split I've gone for landing strip as I guess I felt like it belonged with the fresh start. I did try all off but the centre section reacted badly and it also made me think of a naked mole rat haha.
I find in the online dating arena there is a preference for some removal and I think it comes as less of a suprise in the moment if there isn't a full bush there. And yes, some men have actually asked me if I'm hair free as that's how they like it.
I still don't like the grow out and wish it didn't require upkeep though.

Interestingly l’ve been asked by some (not all) men to grow mine. I suggest just stick with what you choose for you!

I actually like it, I just find it's another upkeep thing to plan in. The waxing is some me time, I like the chat (it's like I'm at the hairdressers lol) and it feels like a "self love" thing. I also find I'm less self conscious as I'm going grey at a young ish age and I find it fresher down there.
It's interesting that you find men have asked you to grow it. Most of the men who have asked me want zero hair, which is just not for me. I never answer them, I just ask questions back such as "why is that important to you" haha.

For clarity, l’m late 40s, so have been round the mulberry bush a few times and chopped and changed over the years from shaving to Veet to waxing.

Those that asked me to grow it were in the minority but they seemed keen. I always remember one man blurting out at the knickers off stage “where’s your pubes”? 😀

😂 😂 😂 Bet that really set the mood lol.
I think people can share their preference, mine are more blokes I've never met who ask it as question number 5 before theyve asked my job.

So not on! If someone wants to know they just might get a chance to find out if l let them have a look. But as a general question, l would only respond on that one to a close female friend.

I am so glad to see this! I started growing my pubic hair a few months ago, still keeping it tidy and trim. I absolutely love it! It turns me on and makes me feel so sexy. My partner is also a fan. I don’t know how long until I go clean shave again but for now I’m loving it!

I chop and change, but in person have only had positive comments about the presence of pubes. However, my late boyfriend and I were on Fab, with a variety of hairstyles in our pictures. We messaged one couple, and got a reply "me and Allan like it shaved down there" which made me laugh so much. And then every couple of months after that, Allan would message saying the missus was out, were we available? 😂

"Chop And Change"...great name for a hairdressers.
Should I trademark it? Lol.

I should've told the Careers Office at 18 that I wanted to be a pubic hairdresser! 🤣 Would've been minted by now!

ExpertInAbsolutelyZero · 11/01/2026 14:56

I know a lady who is just that and minted 🤣

I hope so, I have a wild full dark bush which the fella and I love, It’s always been this hairy and I’ve almost never shaved it.
I love it when other men (and women) see it (we’re swingers) for the first time,
It usually gets quite the reaction and if you don’t like it - tough.

I bet it looks great just after a shampoo!

Chatterlyssecret · 28/01/2026 12:52

Bushy pubes every time for me.

ExpertInAbsolutelyZero · 28/01/2026 13:56

Thinking about it, it’s either full bush or completely bald for me, I don’t like the in between look. But I’d have to go through that to grow a full bush again so can't see it happening 😂

AtYourPleasure · 28/01/2026 19:43

Currently bushy enough and long enough to have a wee twirl around my finger 😬🤣

MisterT373 · 28/01/2026 20:54

Women with a full bush means I can do my Groucho Marx impression while I'm giving her oral.
