Painful sex

for various personal reasons I haven’t had sex for about five years. Sad, I know…
I have a new man in my life and I really fancy him. Sex is painful and I think it’s when he hits my cervix. I don’t need lubricant … that happens naturally..it’s when he’s fully inside …. He is quite big but not massive
any ideas? Should I see my gp? It’s a very new relationship and we’ve only had sex twice.

There are difference positions where you can control how far it goes in, e.g. you on top; that might be more comfortable.

My ex struggled with pain when I was fully inside her and we experimented with positions and she said she thought the build up to knowing it will be painful made it painful but after time and easing into things she was fine, it just took a lot patience, a lot of maybe putting it in all the way and then stopping that session for the night and finishing some other way until it built up to full sessions of normal sex and soon it was fine until we did certain positions but then we just learnt to avoid them.
but patience was definitely the key
