Sex on period

First I must impress that my husband has not and would not ask for this. Being young and naive i did it with my ex cos he wanted to. But just wondering if anyone else actually does this? Do people actually enjoy it or is it just gross and messy?

We don’t now. Have gained some self control over the years! My DH isn’t that keen these days anyway, whether I’m on my period or not, unfortunately.

Similar to @LiveToTell depends on the level of need. Best done in the shower to avoid mess.

Look up menstrual discs. They’re brilliant for period sex without the mess!

I used to when back in my teens and early 20s. The flow has got a lot heavier (and unpredictable time-wise) as I’ve got older. I’m happy to still participate (if the other person is) towards the end of a period though when it’s a lot lighter.

We do, unless it’s super heavy. Oral is often a pass but even then it’s never a no go if she’s just come out of the shower and is on the first couple of days of last days of cycle. I actually quite like the taste weirdly.

Oh flip no way! I’ve never had sex when I’m on my period. No no no. Such an old fashioned head on me when it comes to this. I just can’t bear the thought.

Just no. I can wait a few days. It might not be “dirty” but it IS going to be messy and I find the whole idea of my other half covered in my menstrual blood a turn off. I don’t understand how anyone would find it a turn on tbh.

Never. I no longer have periods (and I can’t tell you how fantastic that is - I can wear white again!) but I used to bleed heavily. The room would’ve resembled a murder scene.

Never. I’m not a huge fan of the potential mess, but it’s more about how uncomfortable I feel during my period - bloated, cramps, achey, fatigued, etc. I don’t think I’ve ever been on my period and fancied sex at the same time.

I have done, it's fine (although I do remember a bloody handprint on a hotel room wall!). My last boyfriend would happily go down on me too. I did buy discs and sponges just in case as we weren't good at waiting, but we never used them, and my periods stopped altogether during that relationship.

It’s a no from me. Never have and never would. Not an issue in my marriage.
