Experiences of DH going on TRT

52 perimenopausal very vanilla DH 55 12 months ago did a blood test which showed he had low testosterone
so his GP started him on testosterone replacement therapy
Now he’s like a bloody rabbit
wants to do it every night
To which I simply don’t have the energy
after work and looking after the kids
he’s also wanting to experiment he is buying underwear ( which are lovely ) has bought me a couple of vibrators etc
Its lovely having his attention and his undying ( love / lush ) and I’m truly flattered
but my sex drive is certainly not as big as his. Max 3 times a week
not every sodding day
he’s a lovely guy, Dad husband I hate to disappoint
Does anyone else have experience of rampant DH starting TRT
maybe I should get some HRT to match him ??😳

Watching with interest. My libido vanished for a good while this year. No interest at all. Women lost their spark in my eyes. Miserable. I was tested at 15.8 nmol/l which is low normal and the doc told me I didn't need anything. Doc also said TRT increases cancer risk slightly. Was your DH's reading anything like mine?

It is complicated. My GP didn't say anything about free to bound testosterone but said to come back if things didn't improve. They did - most likely reasons stress reduction or lots of exercise but I can't be sure.

GP said testosterone supplements increase the prostate and that has something to do with it.

I was always suspected my ex-h had low testosterone (he was as boring in the bedroom as watching paint dry). He never got horny or showed interest in women.
Anyway, no help with your post but you may get the sex surge of menopause to match him!! I did and went crazy with sexual desires etc.

Wow! This post has come at just the right time for me. I have just received my TRT test kit. I'm 60 and suffering all of the low testosterone symptoms. It'll be really handy to compare my results with other males on here.

Are you in the UK? can I ask how and where you got the TRT test kit from?
