Hi I’m very embarrassed because I don’t know who to talk to but recently past few months sex has been painful with my partner, we been together 5yrs and have a 2yr old and I’ve never had any problems before, it hurts during penetration and during and it’s very uncomfortable, I’ve been to doctor and had a smear test and it was all normal, I’ve tried lube and different positions, I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this and could be any help??

Put your embarrassment to one side please.
Get yourself tested for std and consult your gp to exclude any other issues.

Don't be embarrassed, half of the people in the world have a vagina! Go back to the GP, but can you see a different Dr at the practice, someone clued up on women's health.

How old are you? If you're peri, topical estrogen could solve it. Or it could be a cyst causing pain, or an infection, or a dermatology issue... At any rate, a Dr needs to find the problem and treat it.

OP sounds like vaginal atrophy, I sympathise as a fellow sufferer.
It is really painful, there are many different types of lubricants, it is a question of finding the one which works for you.
If you can have estrogen this will be the best solution and your GP can prescribe.
If not your GP can prescribe a water based lubricant called YES.
I really feel for you OP but don't feel you are alone and just ask to see a female GP if you are embarrassed.
I hope you get this sorted x
