Im 34, I've never had a boyfriend or girlfriend, I'm still at virgin, I don't like the idea of sex or relationships, I'm quite happy being alone. My mother worries I will be alone and depressed later in life. I don't like men or women, im not interested at all andd the idea of sex makes me sick.

You do you boo. Who cares what your mum thinks? You’re living your life, not hers.

There’s many other people that feel like that… don’t be hard on yourself and don’t be pressurised to be something you’re not.

It’s natural for mothers to worry, reaffirm to her that you are happy now (and that’s what matters). If in future you do feel like you want a relationship than you can seek one.

Have you posted because you feel pressured by your mother? You can't force yourself to want to have sex when the idea is a complete turn -off. Sex should be a pleasurable thing, not something that you feel compelled to do from a societal point of view.

This may not be the best forum for you in this situation. I wonder if anyone could suggest somewhere on MN for more support?

Why not go looking for an asexual companion.? Male or female doesn’t matter as you won’t be doing the do.
