Sorry for the geek post

how do people dispose of rechargeable sex toys? Everything online seems to say take to a recycle centre. But there’s no way I’m doing that! The guys at ours monitor everything you do 😂

I’m not buying anything new unless I can make room for it! It’s a shame the bigger companies like LH don’t offer to dispose of them for us.

I was at my local B&Q a few days ago. They have a big container at the entrance and a notice saying you can put any unwanted electrical items in it for recycling. It was not closely monitored so you could put the item in a bag and put the bag in the container.

There nothing dodgy in the post thats waiting approval! Its a link to the lovehoney recycling program!

Gymbunny2025 · 05/07/2025 19:10

I was looking for exactly that earlier but only found that you can drop in batteries to them? How annoying the link doesn’t work!!

Hopefully it will be approved soon! I googled lovehoney recycling.

I did take some to the local tip before, but they are not that fussed and I generally give zero fucks anyway 🤣

Our local waste recycling centre has a skip for small electrical items. I'm sure you could discretely drop your old toys in there.
Maybe carry them casually, and confidently in a bag-for-life Sainsbury's bag, or hide it in your microwave when that dies.

That’s a good idea 😂

Old vibrators never die surely?

Don't they just buzz off?

mnmnddddd · 06/07/2025 10:05

Or drive to a recycling centre in a town you'll never visit again, wearing your PVC catsuit an 6" stilettos, brandishing a riding crop and handcuffs, stride up to the most lecherous looking member of staff, stare him straight in the eye, present him with the biggest toy you need to dispose of and say "Where would you like me to put this?"

These replies have made me laugh 😂
