My Husband had a vasectomy recently and has to do 35 within 4 months. He feels that is a lot and unless we are doing things together, he finds wanking a chore. Is this normal? Before him, I always thought men did it daily 🙈

The older I get the more it happens. Daily if not more

When I was in my 20s and 30s, 10-15 times a week, though less often if I had a partner at the time.
When I was happily married, once or twice a week.
When I was a SaHD and my marriage became dysfunctional and sexless, probably 4 or 5 times a week.
Now I'm older and divorced, sometimes daily, sometimes maybe only once or twice in a fortnight and even that can feel like a chore.

IIRC it’s 20 ejaculates after 12 weeks minimum. So if he’s been told 35 it doesnt need to be within a certain time- in fact it’s likely to be after a certain time frame.
FWIW my husband isn’t a wanker (of any sort) so didn’t manage to complete the test after his vasectomy. 12 years on and no baby so I guess it worked fine. Thankfully!! 😆

It varies, at least once a week. If I go longer, I start having sex dreams that aren't quite wet dreams, because I wake up before I ejaculate, but they're close.

Not surprising considering half the contents are no longer there, that being the purpose of a vasectomy

I'm not complaining at all as it seems less thick and there seems to be less of it which is great for less mess! It's just not what we were told at the consultation which was that there would be no difference in his cum appearance or volume.
