I’m having a freak out. Been on a few dates with this man, we decided to have a kiss and one thing led to another and tongues were involved.

during the kiss I noticed his tongue felt quite bumpy ? Sorry tmi.

I stopped and then a bit later I brought up a convo about safe sex. He said he didn’t use anything after the last time he had sex and also wasn’t tested.

I now can’t help but freak out that the bumps may be some sort of oral STD. Am I overthinking this?

Probably. I've never heard of any std that shows up as bumpy tongue. And you would be very unfortunate to get any std from french kissing. It's not impossible, but you'd be unlucky. Herpes is the obvious 'kissing' transfer - but you would, presumably, have noticed if he had cold sores on his lips

But reassure yourself by getting tested; it's so easy.

I have a genetic thing called scrotal tongue. It makes my tongue bumpy and cracked. My daughter has it too.

Not particularly pleasant to look at but not an STI.

I think it's called 'Geographical Tongue'. My ex had one. It's 'normal' for some people.
