Lots of options but most have side effects? What's the best one?
The pill, copper coil etc?

Had the depo injection for years until I was 45 ,then the mini pill .Had no problems with either plus they stop your periods (bonus)

We went condoms. I refused to put chemicals in my body, I can't stand the thought of the coil and he refused the snip.

Nothing for us.

Can’t seem to get pregnant without medical intervention but not a disaster if it happened - in fact would be welcome. Been 9 years since I was pregnant so think it’s unlikely.

I can understand not wanting more hormones in your body. If it was something we needed to consider it would probably be condoms, although before tying for a baby we always used withdrawal. It never failed us but of course we now know why!

I got sterilised but it's a permanent option. I had it for health reasons as I've got a complicated birth history and definitely don't want anymore babies. I've never been on any contraception and only ever used condoms but I didn't want to use them forever.

Depends on whether you’ll be having more kids….I wanted non-invasive between babies, so used a diaphragm (which has a lower success rate, but wouldn’t have been the end of the world if I had a surprise pregnancy, as I was planning on having more anyway. It ended up being fully effective at preventing pregnancy in the end). Once I no longer wanted babies, I moved over to the mini pill.

Be careful with the pill, (chemicals in your body) I ended up with blood clots on my lungs 4 years ago. Still not felt the same since 😕
