Loss of testicular sensitivity

My wonderful Dp Is suffering from a loss of sensitivity to his testicles, it’s really getting him down.

He’s only 40, so wasn’t expecting to be suffering from problems at this age?

A couple of years ago he had a bad virus that shrunk one testicle slightly, but we thought he’d recovered from that.

We have young kids so we know they worked well until recently!

Previously, he had very sensitive testicles and enjoyed touch there, but he says that now, despite thinking about sex in his mind, his body isn’t responding like it used to

GP was very unhelpful - can anyone suggest where we start trying to resolve this?

Go back to the GP for a referral to a urologist. Loss of sensitivity might be due to other reasons connected to the reproductive system.

Definitely a visit to the GP.

Just to clarify, has he lost testicular sensitivity or scrotal sensitivity? For me they are very different. Squeeze, tug or stroke are all very different sensations, but only squeezing is really about my balls (and not nice!!!) Otherwise it's more to do with my scrotum.

Agree with PP. If you're concerned and his GP isn't, they should be able to give you a good reason or a referral.
