Sex with new partner

My ex bf used to last ages during intercourse - I actually used to hate it whilst he was pounding away for ages. My new partner is nothing like that - sex is quick and pleasurable.

I am wondering what this means. Could it be that my new partner is more attracted to/turned on by me? Or is time spent in intercourse not a reflection on this?

You need to give time to get to know each others bits of sex that you both like and can adapt to.
It is uncommon that when you first have sex with a new partner that it is both what you both want.
Apart from anything else you need to tell him what you want and he needs to tell you what he wants.

@SkyGrant I don't mind it, he always sorts me out before he climaxes, I'm just interested in the difference between the two men and whether orgasming more quickly through penetration is an indication of how turned on he is by me or whether there is no correlation

There’s many reasons why some take longer/faster than others. Not simply because he’s more/less turned on by you.

@AlexandrinaH is it an indication of his enjoyment?

It could well be. Remember that sex is as much mental as it is physical.
So yes he could be totally in the moment and totally turned on and really into having this pleasurable moment with you. In that way he will find it easy to let go and climax and orgasm easily.
Likewise your other partner could have battled with some fears over his sexual performance and may have been stressed or worried. Was he wearing a condom perhaps? For some men this acts as a barrier (literally!) to pleasure and the pounding you mentioned is because he was almost getting there and then not doing so - so he was working hard to finally ejaculate.

@CleanHouseGoals I really hope it is because he does enjoy sex with me because my experience with him is mind blowing. My ex was on medication which I think made it harder for him to orgasm but also towards the end he was cheating on me so that probably didn't help.
