Higher sex drive as I get older

Hey everyone,

I’m 43 and something unexpected has been happening over the last year or so—I’ve noticed my sex drive has significantly increased. I’ve always thought this kind of thing was supposed to decrease with age, especially for women. But lately, I find myself feeling more in the mood than I ever did in my 20s or 30s.

I’ve always been very active sexually and my current partners are certainly not complaining, but I’m a bit confused and wondering if this is common? Is it hormonal? Psychological? Maybe both? I’ve done a bit of Googling, but the answers are all over the place.

Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this and, if so, what you think might be behind it.

Perimenopause?

It's normal (it's happening for me too) and it's down to the perimenopause.
