Post-Divorce Self-Discovery: A Journey Into Tantra

When my marriage ended, I wasn’t sure who I was anymore. It felt like a part of me had been lost along the way, and I wanted to find it again. That’s what led me, quite unexpectedly, to Tantra. At first, it seemed like something far removed from my world, but the more I explored, the more it felt like coming home to myself. It’s not just about intimacy; it’s about energy, connection, and understanding what it means to truly feel. I’ve learned so much about myself—what I need, what I desire, and how to be fully present with another person.

Now I find myself wondering—what do women really want when it comes to deep connection? Have you ever done something completely outside the box to reconnect with yourself or reignite your spark? I’d love to hear your thoughts because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we all have so much more to give and to feel than we realize.

Great post OP, Have you discovered the Eastern version of Tantra and not the bastardised version in the west which only talks about massages and happy endings?
It is much more intimate and requires a deeper emotional intelligence through yoga and meditation and an understanding, enabling you to transcend the body mind egoic concepts and to discover the Divine Self to appreciate the Divinity in others.

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Tbh , I started learning about it from a point of exploring more pleasure with my future partner (s). I have done meditation and other mind and breath related work with another teacher.

love hearing this and also love hearing about your work to know more. I don’t feel it’s about women per se. It’s about anyone - I know the more you find ways to listen and tune in to yourself the more you are listening to nature and people around you. The more connected we feel to ourselves, our bodies, the people around us, nature - the more we feel really inspired and energized - and it doesn’t stop - it continues and expands. Love to hear more OP on what you are doing too - a lovely post X

Eastern Tantra is associated with Hinduism. It's more of a lifestyle choice. I's in tune with the senses and nature. Touches on the physical only as part of the lifestyle ritual. Being in tune with your partner on a metaphysical plain means much more.
if you think along the lines of making love to your partners soul rather than the physical body then it should give you an idea.

A couple of years ago I attended a Tantra festival at the Tara yoga centre in London and participated in several workshops .
i found the connection I made with some people much higher than anything I had previously experienced.
feel free to pm me .

This sounds very interesting. I've always found a deep intimate connection with my wife very erotic. Were interested in taking it further.

Would you recommend any books about this? I’d love to find out a bit more.

@3luckystars

It depends on what you're looking for. If it is just the sexual part of tantra. I.e. yoni and lingam massages then any porn site or book will tell you how. it will mainly consist of candles, scents, oils, massage and end up with g spot & clitoral massage.

Or there is the spiritual study side which requires dedication, Which does include the physical and how the body responds through chakra points and nervous systems but mainly centres on the understanding of Oneness and divinity within each other.
So that when the physical act of tantric sex is entered into you're making love to the Soul and not the body. It is said that in Tantra that a woman should not be penetrated until she feels as though the whole universe is about to enter her. So imagine her state of bliss for that to happen.
