Not for me at all, but I can see why some people benefit from them. I think having one while in a fully functioning sexual relationship is totally unnecessary. That’s just my personal view.

Creepy. I'd be really turned off if a potential partner was into these, although I don't care what others get up to in private. In my eyes they are not comparable to something like a male masturbator or a dildo. It's the way they look like an exaggerated version of a human. I don't see anything wrong with owning and using a sex doll. It seems like an entirely private matter to me and I don't see what harm can be caused by them, Some men are choosing them instead of real relationships. That seems to be for misogynistic reasons though, rather than because of the existence of sex dolls.

A decade ago there was a lot of excitement in the media about sex robots, (something we might hear about again with the development of AI). I remember an article from one of The Guardian's feminist writers arguing that they were A Bad Thing, because they normalised male assumptions that sex was something available on demand. This was countered in the comments section by men who argued that while female masturbation and sex toys were regarded as liberating and A Good Thing, male masturbation was considered seedy.

There was even a Channel 4 documentary on sex robots. The male ones, with their oversized appendages, weren't much better. I switched off before the end.

The moral? I dunno. Men masturbate and always will and masturbatory aids are good for both sexes. Watch those stereotypes though.
