Can a copper coil become dislodged during sex?!

Hello ladies,
Sorry for TMI! I had the copper coil put in November 2023. Sex has been fine and hasn't caused any issues apart from heavy periods. Two nights ago my dh and I had very deep sex (I'm so sorry) and he's very well endowed! It actually hurt a bit and felt uncomfortable during sex. The following morning there was bright red blood and since I've been been bleeding on and off. Particularly after going for a long walk for example and I'm getting a few cramps too. It's definitely not my period as I had one about two weeks ago. I'm just wondering if anyone has had their coil moved/dislodged due to sex? I'm going to make a doctors appointment but it's starting to worry me a bit. Thank you x

I don't have a coil myself but from what I understand they can be dislodged, it was a reason why I wasn't sure to go for it as a contraceptive method if there was a chance I could accidentally become pregnant. Sorry OP, but good that you're getting checked!

I hope you are ok? Coils frighten the life out of me … wish they didn’t as would love this kind of thing over the pill ., am 46 to doctor reluctant to give it. I can relate though my DP very well endowed and we have deep sex sometimes!
