Sex parties, especially bondage

DH and I are quite keen to try a sex party, especially bondage or kink related. Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences?

Mumsnet feels a weird place to discuss this - I’m a regular user, but usually to talk about parent stuff. So if there’s somewhere better to discuss, do point me that way!

Torture Garden is the obvious answer but it feels super mainstream - from what I’ve read, it sounds like it’s a fashion show, frequented by people who just want to gawp, and the parties are HUGE with loads of attendees. I’d like something a bit less mainstream and a bit more intimate.

I am a bisexual woman, DH is straight. Sex with others isn’t a key aspect for us - we’d mostly like an interesting, sensual environment, great music, no pervs or handsy men, and an opportunity to ‘play’ with some bondage gear.

Also, think about buying some cheap stuff to have a play with at home - handcuffs or maybe a Sportsheets bed restraint kit, whip etc. all easily buyable cheaply from Ann Summers or any number of web shops inc eBay.

Having never been to a sex club, is it as simple as walking in the door, registering with your photo ID and then wandering around to see what you can see? If you want to join in with a couple, how do you ask when they're engaged in each other?
