Child free few days...

Once a year, for 2 or 3 days, we're child free. DC go to their GP's.
It's lovely, don't get me wrong and I shouldn't complain.
But, every year, without fail, period is due/starts as soon as they go, ruling out bedroom plans 😞
Would be so great not to have to worry about making any noise with teens and pre teens in the house. But sadly not to be.

Have you tried these? DP says he can feel it and it’s a bit off putting, but sometimes needs must!

Dh is really squeamish and it's off the cards completely when my period is here 😞

Can you not take the medication to delay your period?

Been there, done that. Was on contraceptives for years. Not only did they zap my sex drive but the blast of hormones made me very emotionally unstable.
Since dh's vasectomy, my sex drive is through the roof and I'm a lot nicer and more stable to live with.

I'm just having a moan really. There's not much I can or will do about it but it's just a crap coincidence that it always arrives when they're not here.
Can't exactly ask the Gp's to have dc when it coincides best for a shag 😄can just imagine their faces with that conversation 🤭

I would but as I've said in pp, dh is squeamish and he won't entertain anything remotely sexual.

They asked us about these dates so they could book tickets months ago (about 6-8 months ago)
I'm perimenopausal.
My periods (used to be like clockwork) now are often early or late but you can guarantee, whenever dates like this have been arranged my period decides to arrive.
I was actually due yesterday, the day the dc went. Baring in mind, I'm never on time these days, all day... no show. Kids leave p.m. then, just before I go to bed, brush my teeth, have actually wee then lo and behold 🩸
It's like my body cock blocks me deliberately.

I’ve got something similar to a mooncup but without the spikey bit! It’s amazing - you’d never know it was there. Neither of us is squeamish about blood but I like the freedom it allows. If you’re interested, I’ll try to remember what it’s called.

This is what DH and I would do. If needs must, then that's how it has to be done. He is never deterred when I am bleeding heavy. It often helps with period pain.
