I realised me and dh have never really listened to any music doing it.

My ex used to put on CDs haha it was that long ago. Sorted it all out - sexy music I remember like Goldfrapp.....

How do ppl do it now? I never really listen to music in the bedroom- have alexa downstairs with amazon music. I don't have Spotify .

Should I make a sex Playlist - what can any recommend to go on it? Or is there one already???

Years ago, just after our eldest was born, my DM gave us a CD of Mozart's more relaxing music. Being keen parents we thought it was to settle baby: she had to tell us it was too help us get it on. I can't remember if we've ever used it for that.

My first BF and I used to ALWAYS listen to music before and during… one of our fave sexy songs was Phil Collins, “In the air tonight” - just realised it was early 1980s, (and an LP, not even a CD…) so feeling pretty old now 🤣

An ex-gf of mine many years ago insisted on Wham's greatest hits everytime we were shagging. Goodness knows what/who she was thinking of! I was fairly inexperienced at that time so didnt say anything.

I dont think its related but I really struggle with music, or even background tv when having sex now. I dont want silence, but I find music off putting.

This takes me back to my teenage days where I’d play music to drown the sounds so my parents couldn’t hear.

For getting in the mood, Marvin Gaye and Chic are the sexiest. The former in particular because his music contains (to use the title of an anything but sexy but best selling sex book of the 70s) the joy of sex, but, mirroring Gaye's life, has the vulnerabilities and insecurities that are part of sex, relationships - or at least can come into them. Thinking about it, his music captures how the insecurities etc can be purged through sex - if that doesn't sound too mystical.

For me, whilst having sex I don't like anything that is distracting that's likely to take your mind away from the experience. Therefore nothing with lyrics. So some of the sonic massage music compilations on Spotify are good - not music I'd put on at another time.
